What I’ll Look Like In My 50s & 80s

Last week, I introduced you to Maw Maw & Grandad.  Not only was I lucky enough to live near them, I was actually lucky enough to also live near Mom and Pa Pa.

They lived on a ranch about 20 minutes away from us, so we saw them lots and always had loads of fun at their place.

I inherited my love of baking and shopping from Mom.  She’s great at both.

While I was in NM last month, Arle and I spent a morning hanging out with Mom (Pa Pa passed away in 1998).  We started looking at lots of old photos and I was reminded of how much Mom’s and my mother’s baby pics looked like me when I was a baby.

Mom as a young woman looked just like my mother as a young woman.

Anybody who has ever met my mother comments on how much I look like her…definitely a compliment, in my opinion.

Have you ever wondered what you’ll look like in 20 years?  50 years?

I’ve always said I know what I will look like in my 50s and my 80s.

Basically, my mom looks just like my grandmother and I look just like my mother, therefore I’m assuming I will look just like my grandmother someday.

Am I making any sense here?

Here’s a pic of my mother to show you what I will look like in my 50s (that’s my sassy sister on the right):

Here’s a pic of my grandmother (again, sassy sister on the right at her graduation):

I realize these aren’t the best pics to prove my point (since I’m not even in these pics and my mom is wearing sunglasses), but trust me.

I must say I’m pleased with what I have to look forward to.  I think those are two good looking ladies, if I may say so myself.

I can’t believe how much you look like your Mom!! That is so fun… and definitely a compliment! She is one pretty lady! Hope we’re still friends when you’re that age :)

Definitely would be a great thing. You’re all beautiful. Now I don’t know if I look much like my mom (definitely not our coloring).. but If I can be as skinny as my mom still is when I’m 60+ I’ll take it. Although I think my love for tan skin has ruined my chances of having as few wrinkles as she does.
