Fall is here and I’m in heaven. October is my favorite month. I’ve decided this is due to the fact that I grew up in New Mexico where you don’t exactly get to experience a true autumn. Here are a few of the things that let me know my beloved season is upon me.
Exhibit A. Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks
I know, I know. It has 380 calories and 13 grams of fat, but I only treat myself to one every now and then and when I do, I savor each and every sip. It’s only on the menu a few months out of the year, so make sure you try one the next time you need a caffiene fix.
Exhibit B. Oh so pretty leaves
I took these shots last week while Arle and I were out running errands.
Exibit C. My closet
Bottom line is, I hate summer clothes and LOVE LOVE LOVE fall and winter clothes. The colors, layers, textures and coziness of it all just makes me warm and fuzzy inside. I always look forward to pulling all my summer things out and storing them away, while filling my shelves and hangers with all of my favorite cold weather clothes.
What do you love about fall????

I love the cool, crisp mornings, pleasant days, and the changing colors. I love that I get to see my family at Thanksgiving! I’m quite envious of your love of, and ability to wear, fall and winter clothes. I’d wear summer clothes year-round these days if I could get away with it. Warmer fall and winter clothes are so darn cute, and I desperately want to wear them, but all I can think about is how HOT I will be wearing them, and wonder how fast I can peel off the layers when those inevitable hot flashes hit!

Leaves are beginning to change, here in Southeastern New Mexico. It’s true
they only last a short time, but Autumn is my favorite time of year, too. I
love the weather, here. I love the smell of burning fireplaces, a pot of soup
on the stove with fresh cornbread. I love hot spiced tea and apple cider. I love
football games. I am beginning to especially look forward to what has become
an annual event…flying to ya’ll’s house and seeing Autumn, there!!

In growing up in MN I took Autumn for granted! I have a friend in MN who takes pictures of the tres and colors just for me. Now that’s Love! lol
I love the crisp smell in the air. I love the COLORS. I love the feel of pumpkin goo through my fingers. I love the clothes as well! I love the fact that Christmas is around the corner. Unfortunately, I loved the fall so much I made us have a LOOOOOOONGGGGGG (too long) engagement so that I could get married int he fall. That was silly, but it sure was pretty!
